Get ready for a night of epic fire art, fire dancing, music, and interstellar vibes as Maker Radio 94.5 FM presents a Freakeasy Chicago Fab Lab Takeover! Featuring World-Class DJs Brace yourself for an incredible musical lineup: Taurus (InStereo Recordings, Portland) A producer and DJ known for his contributions to the house music scene, Taurus has released tracks on InStereo Recordings, collaborating with heavyweights like DJ Dan and Mike Balance on hits like "Sock It To Me." His unique style blends classic house elements with modern production, as heard on tracks like "Old School Vibe." Taurus has also graced stages at events like the Kickin' It Release Party in Portland, delivering electrifying sets that leave audiences wanting more. Ichabod (FreakEasy, Chicago) A staple of the Chicago underground scene, Ichabod's eclectic sets range from deep house to driving techno. As a longtime member of the FreakEasy Collective, Ichabod has performed at some of the most legendary events in Chicago's electronic music history. Radiohiro (FreakEasy, Chicago) Known for his East Indian-influenced dance music and remix work, Radiohiro has collaborated with artists like Karsh Kale and Natacha Atlas. His global appeal has earned him airtime on BBC Radio, showcasing his ability to blend world music with electronic beats in electrifying performances.

Experience the Propulsion Rings

Witness the unveiling of The Propulsion Rings, a groundbreaking fire art installation with 24 computer-controlled solenoid valve flamethrowers. This awe-inspiring creation is part of the Kitty Kat Island installation at Love Burn, Miami’s premier art festival. Designed to represent the warp drive of an interstellar spacecraft piloted by Mecha Meowzilla, this fiery masterpiece is the next evolution of Kitty Kat Island’s legendary large-scale art installations. About Kitty Kat Island Known for combining stunning art and top-notch music, Kitty Kat Island has long been a centerpiece of Love Burn. This year, with support from a Love Burn Art Grant, the team is stepping it up with a fiery new offering built by an international team from Mexico City, Chicago, and Chico, CA, at the Chico Fab Lab facility.
